PTSD affects numerous victims of serious car accidents

If a serious auto accident has caused you to be injured, physical suffering is expected. It takes the body time to heal, and there are no guarantees of a full recovery, as every body is different in how it will react to certain injuries. What people do not expect, however, are the psychological effects that car accidents can have on them. Post-traumatic stress disorder is a relatively common problem among those who survive severe collisions, whether they occur in New Mexico or elsewhere.

Severe injuries and death are common when cars, in a side collision, end up underneath a tractor-trailer. These crashes may result in the top of the car being cut off, significantly reducing the chance of survival for the victims.

A significant number of drivers have admitted to using their cell phones to text and browse the web while driving.

Wrongful death suit filed in wrong-way I-25 crash in Santa Fe

The Albuquerque Journal reports that a wrongful death lawsuit has been filed for damages in the September death of a 23-year-old man from a fiery head-on crash when a drunk woman drove the wrong way on I-25 through Santa Fe.
