Donnette Alderete

DonnetteDonnette joined Giddens, Gatton & Jacobus PC in November 2016. She has been in the legal field for 14 years. She is a Native New Mexican and loves living life in the Land of Enchantment. Donnette enjoys spending time with her daughters and her beloved dog Katie. In her spare time she also enjoys working out and keeping Fit and Fabulous!

Lorraine Chavez


Lorraine was recently promoted to Legal Assistant. Her new duties include but are not limited: meeting with and assisting clients; Case research; drafting and electronically filing pleadings. After retiring from NM State Government in 2014 and a brief stint with the Junior League of Albuquerque, Lorraine Joined GG & J in late 2016. She has welcomed and is most comfortable with her return to the legal field. Lorraine was born and raised in Socorro, NM and is a graduate of NM Institute of Mining and Technology, "A Local Techy". Lorraine's greatest joy was the birth of her grandson, Arlo, in 2016 and she enjoys spending any free time with her family.

Alysha Smith

AlyshaAlysha is a Litigation Paralegal and has been at Giddens, Gatton, & Jacobus since 2013. She works in the practice areas of Personal Injury and Employment Law. Alysha is involved in every aspect of her cases from the beginning until their conclusion. Alysha is passionate about her role in every client's case and enjoys helping our clients achieve the very best outcome possible in their cases. Alysha started her Paralegal career in 2001, working for a large firm that practiced insurance defense.

Alysha is a native New Mexican and was born and raised in Albuquerque. She also has extensive family in southern New Mexico. She spends most of her free time with her husband and two kids at Elephant Butte Lake, where they enjoy boating.

Denise DeBlassie-Gallegos
DeniseOffice Manager

Denise has worked at Giddens, Gatton & Jacobus P.C., since 1998. Denise manages the business functions as well as the overall operations of the office. Her management duties include, but are not limited to the following areas: Financial, Human Resources, Systems, Operational and Practice Management.

Diane Duran


Diane Duran is our Administrative & Marketing Coordinator. Originally from San Antonio, TX, she moved to Albuquerque in 2010 and has worked at Giddens, Gatton & Jacobus since 2014.

Diane's main duties include implementation of advertising projects, creating brand awareness, and coordination of community outreach projects. She also assists the office manager and legal staff with additional administrative tasks as needed.

Jennifer Higuera

JenniferJennifer has been a Legal Assistant for 6 years and has worked at Giddens, Gatton & Jacobus since 2010. Jennifer's duties include meeting with clients, answering their questions, research, drafting of pleadings, electronic filing of documents and much more.

Jennifer was born and raised in the Land of Enchantment and has a love for the City. She is a graduate of Central New Mexico Community College and is currently pursuing her Paralegal certificate.
